As Dr. Chidi Lloyd continues to set new standards in local government administration, the people of Emohua will witness another phase of project commissioning in continuation of the infrastructure revolution witnessed across the area under the present administration.
Two weeks of project commissioning across Emohua LGA, phase III of the project harvest witnessed in the area under the administration of Dr. Lloyd, are scheduled to be held between Monday, February 19, and Sunday, March 3, with eminent personalities invited by the local government council as project commissioners.

The harvest of projects proper is expected to begin with the inauguration of Emohua Council Warehouse on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, with the caucus leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Eze Paul Wokhe Wonodi, as a special guest and project commissioner.
Among those invited as special guests of honour is the Governor of Rivers State, H.E. Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS. The Governor is expected to inaugurate one of the signature projects of Dr. Chidi Lloyd; the magnificent Emohua Divisional Police Headquarters Building situated opposite the Emohua campus of Rivers State University along the Emohua-Kalabari road, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
The 1.2-kilometre Ubimini community road, the 4th in the series of community road projects undertaken by the administration of Dr. Chidi Lloyd, is scheduled for commissioning on Tuesday, February 27, with the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Martin Amaewhule DSSRS, as the special guest of honour.
The 1-kilometre Chief Nyesom Wike Drive, the third in the series of road projects, is earmarked for commissioning by the chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, Hon. Aaron Chukwuemeka DSSRS, as the special guest of honour on Friday, March 1, 2024.
Other special guests invited for the harvest of projects across Emohua LGA include Chief Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, Commissioner of Special Projects; Hon Justina Emeji, Member Rivers State House of Assembly, Emohua State Constituency; and her predecessor, Hon Sam Ogeh.
The vice chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Prof. Okey Onuchukwu; the provost of Rivers State University’s Medical College, Prof. Chituru Orluwene; and the executive director of the Rivers State Primary Healthcare Management Board, Prof. Kinikanwo Green, are also shortlisted to perform the commissioning of critical infrastructure projects.
Emohua local government brand ambassador, Miss Mary Ngozi Kekwaru, is expected to commission the Emohua Council Pavilion (mini stadium) named after her, with the chairman of the Rivers State Traditional Rulers Council, His Majesty, Ohna Sergeant Awuse, leading the government-recognized traditional rulers across Emohua LGA as Royal Fathers for the two weeks of non-stop project harvest across Emohua LGA.
A Thanksgiving service marking the end of the activities is scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Local Government Council Chapel, with a brief reception immediately after the service.
